Who is Kristy Enterprises
Originally established in 1985, my father opened the business when I was four years old. He named it Kristy Enterprises after his youngest child. This provided me with the opportunity to learn about running a business, including buying, selling, and negotiating. My mother, on the other hand, taught me to be creative and think outside the box. For instance, she could take an old metal can and transform it into a beautiful standing doll.
Working alongside my family in our business taught me that to achieve success, you must work hard, never give up, and stand up for your beliefs. Unfortunately, my mom passed away in 2004, and after that, my dad entrusted the business to me. When my dad died in 2009, I found it increasingly difficult to keep the business alive, and ultimately, I made the tough decision to close it. I often regretted that decision, feeling that I let my parents down.
In 2022, during a conversation with my wonderful husband, I fondly recalled the adventures of attending various auctions (my dad was famous for his auction number, #300, regardless of whether it was a brand new auction) and traveling from the mountains to the coast to score the best deals at wholesale places. I have so many cherished memories that I could spend years sharing them all. Eventually, he suggested we reopen my family business, but with our own spin. This idea kept resurfacing, and in December 2022, we decided to relaunch the business in honor of my parents. Not only do we share their anniversary, but we are also continuing their dream.
Thank you, Paul, for believing in this business and in us. I look forward to creating new memories and building upon the ones I made with my family. Love you!
